What Was Lost Is Found

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

During tonight’s episode of ABC’s Lost (Tricia Tanaka Is Dead), it suddenly dawned on me what I had been missing from the show for a good amount of time (hm, maybe a year’s worth of episodes?): The comedic chemistry/interplay between the “minor” characters. I didn’t mind that no mysteries were resolved, nothing spooky/supernatural happened - but I really enjoyed the name-calling between Hurley, Sawyer, Jin and Charlie and watching Sawyer teach Jin some English. I also liked the “reunion” scene and the re-emergence of Sayid and Locke.

Maybe I liked this episode so much because it was a break from all the Others drama and from Jack?

SUSE Pain: Online Updates

The one thing I don’t like about OpenSUSE so far (both 10.1 and 10.2) is the mechanism for setting up Automatic Updates to the system (i.e. when security patches are released for packages you’ve installed). To me, it’s needlessly confusing, though I think I’ve got it mostly under control in my head. This post is part investigation, part what-worked-for-me. I hope it helps those experiencing the same frustrations that I did. Click To Read More...
